Typhoon Etau hit Central Japan, devastating flood in Joso, Ibaraki Prefecture.

Wish for God bless in japan as another bad climate hit japan yesterday, September 9th. More than 100.000 people had to evacuated following the Typhoon Etau devastating attack on Honshu area. With record of more than 300 mm of rain in past of 24 hours unleashed heavy flood on the region.


The worst affected areas lie just north of tokyo within the ibaraki and Tochigi Prefectures. Media reports suggest as much as 550 mm of rain falling isolated areas during wednesday and thursday with rainfall amount reaching 50 mm per hour.



Japan is painfully exposed to sometimes destructive tropical storm every year. Typhoon Talas, which struck in 2011, left 98 people dead or missing and damaged 4.000 homes, The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which met in Yokohama last year, warned that climate change would likely cause more extreme weather events and greater damage from intesifying typhoons.
